What's the difference between prescription and over the counter products

Many people are often mistaken prescription only medicine with over the counter supplements. We are here to help you identify major differences between these two categories of products. You probably saw some type of commercial about products that may sound like some kind of prescription only drug, but in reality it is over the counter supplements. It is called DSHEA - Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act. This law                                                                                                                                                   allows any licensed facility to produce any type of supplement unless proven unsafe.                                                                                                                                                   Basically anything, even pharmaceutical ingredients, can be produced and sold legally over the counter as a "supplement", unless something happens or some study proves that given ingredient is unlawful. This act came into power in 1994 and since that time, many crooked organizations started producing illegal drugs by simply switching few molecules and calling it something else. In order for the FDA to ban some type of product, there must be 8 months or so legal and bureaucratic procedure taken place, which gives these crooks to sell enough of whatever they are making and once ingredient is banned, they simply switch few more molecules and continue business as usual without breaking any laws. Even when government bans some ingredient, they move to some other country and continue sell their products online. In the United States, all these manufacturers have to do to sell anything legally is make sure that nobody dies. Even in case someone overdoses and passes away, they are not responsible, because each manufacturer carries insurance policy. Perfect example of such products is "bath salt" or "spices" which in reality are synthetic form of Cocaine HCL and THC found in marijuana. Similar scenario happens with over the counter products. Manufacturers are constantly on the lookout for something new, something that gives immediate effect, similar to illegal drugs. Believe it or not, but there category of people who are looking to "feel" something right away.  This business environment makes these manufacturers "hungry" to make larger profits and they are always looking for something new and marketable. They try to patent new ingredients and market it as something new and innovative. Perfect example of such will be Dr. Oz Garcinia Cambogia. Funny enough, after Dr. Oz was questioned by US government, after making billions, he suddenly "switches" to this "innosent" person talking about "dangers" associated with use fo weight loss products. In reality, most of these ingredients were never studied and only proven to work in theory. These new ingredients never go through any type of testing either and the only way to discover negative side effects is by having people use it as guinea pigs. Below are the two most controversial and dangerous "pseudo" pharmaceutical ingredients that are used in almost every "energy" product that you MUST stay away from.

The Truth about BMPEA

BMPEA

BMPEA used to be this "effective" over the counter weight loss ingredient that was used in 90% of any type of over the counter "energy" product. Until recently, any sale of BMPEA over the counter was advertised as top product to lose weight. In reality, it was not that "innocent". The truth about BMPEA - this is a pharmaceutical drug, strong, addictive and dangerous stimulant with a lot of side effects. The only reason why BMPEA was "legal" is because there were no other theory to prove otherwise. It could have been a poison that slowly kills people, but nobody would care, until people reported dying or having some type of health issues. Suddenly FDA issues a warning, calling BMPEA a "hidden" speed after many years and billions of dollars worth sold to innocent and uneducated consumers. “Oopsy doopsy” kind of scenario. At the end, not a single person or organization "paid the price" for so many innocent people getting hurt as a result of this careless environment in the United States.  

Yohimbine HCL

YOHIMBINE HCL

Another "wonderful" ingredient that's still legal and not banned in the United States is Yohimbine HCL. This particular ingredient is used as an additive to the Nutraceuticals (natural pharmaceuticals) ingredients in over the counter supplements. In reality it is a very strong pharmaceutical drug. It widens veins in the brain, allowing other ingredients to pass through the blood barrier and act as if it is a prescription medicine. Adding Yohimbine HCL to the list of ingredients, essentially separates over the counter product from the rest and makes it act as if it is a prescription drug. Even in that case, FDA is allowing this ingredient to "float" around without any restrictions and until recently it was placed on the "watch" list. The negative side effect of this is it is extremely heavy on organs, especially heart. Yohimbine HCL is a passage to early heart disease along with many other health complications. The only reason why it is still legal is because nobody proved to have immediate health issues after using it. Yohimbine HCL soon will be banned just like BMPEA.
