Exercise is a great way to slim down when paired up with eating right but you want to be careful not to allow your exercise routine to take priority over your normal lifestyle routines.  You do not have to work out every single day of the week doing fast-paced exercises.  If you want to work out every day of the week, you can but be sure that with each workout session, you are being reasonable and not overexerting your mind, body and spirit.

The Better Man Project by Bill Phillips focuses on not only diets geared towards men, but also educates about obtaining a healthy physique and stabilizing emotional health and relationships. The full title of the book is "The Better Man Project: 2,476 Tips and Techniques to Keep You Healthy and Happy for Life" .  It's considered an instructional booklet of techniques and graphic illustrations to help men reach their personal goals.  His terminology relates to men.  For example, he says "Your body is like a car. You've surely heard that one before. The comparison is common for a reason: Men understand it instantly. Cars and bodies have moving parts and circulatory systems; they need fuel and so on.   11. FASTING AND WEIGHT LOSS - ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGE

Things like sugar spikes and not eating all day is bad for your health. Consuming less calories can benefit your body and even intermittent fasting can have its advantages overall.  Fasting is a great way to cleanse and detoxify your body, gain some mental clarity, increase your energy levels and create a break in any unhealthy eating habits that you may have.  Unhealthy eating habits can weigh you down and make you feel sluggish over time, so taking a fasting break can help your digestive system "rest."  If you are morbidly obese and want to try fasting, its best to consult your primary doctor on how to do it successfully.  While fasting for 1 or 2 days at a time won't pose serious health risks for most, some of the disadvantages of fasting for longer periods of time do exist.  Calorie restriction is the biggest drawback of extended fasting because fasting decreases your BMR (basal metabolic rate) up to 22%.  For example, if you ate the same amount of calories you ate prior to fasting AFTER your fasting was over, you would essentially add fat weight to your body.  This means that your body fat percentage would be higher than it was before you started your fast.  There are also side effects that may come along with it but every individual is different.  Fasting promotes detoxification so some may experience symptoms such as  irritability, accelerated heart rate, exacerbation of joint problems, muscle weakness and abdominal discomfort.  If you must go through a period of fasting, it is best to Increase the percentage of raw food in diet to prevent prolonged health problems.  You should also increase physical activity, stay away from processed foods and only eat when you are hungry
