While she says that confidence is what can make any woman sexy, she stated that even still today it is hard for her to get into a bikini for a modeling photo. The nervousness overtakes her and this goes back to low self-esteem that she had while growing up. However, she says that she likes her curves, are proud of them and love having the body of a woman. Miller is quoted as saying that exercise is the main source of where her body confidence comes from. She reveals that "It's not like I'm exercising to be skinny - I'm the girl who needs curves. I like my butt and my boobs! My focus is on being toned and firm." The model's current workout consists of a few things but boxing at a boxing gym is what she does most often, which is 3-4 times a week. She also has a preference for surfing, which she calls "physical and spiritual" in the land of California. Since she only goes to the gym a few days out of the week, she says that working out at home is a daily thing. She likes bicycling on an at-home stationary bike while watching "Guns N' Roses" music videos on DVDs. She says that working out in this way is beneficial because she focuses on the visual of what she's watching, while cycling, which makes the time fly by. She also recommends "Spinning" because it's a good way to tone up your backside and legs. The model is a fan of long lean muscles so she does a lot of stretching as well but says she doesn't lift weights.

Marisa’s eating style doesn't necessarily change while she is preparing for a photo shoot or a show, but during that time she follows her normal routine more strictly. She says she tries to never eat carbs for dinner because she doesn't like to sleep on a full stomach. For breakfast, she likes breads that contain grains and legumes but will sometimes have egg, veggie and cheese omelets. Her favorite lunch/dinner meals include things like Ahi tuna with green salads with plenty of water. When it's time for a snack, she usually carries nuts and granola bars with her throughout the day. Miller’s weakness is ice cream but says that she completely stays away from processed foods. Here, she shares one of her favorite recipes, which is a spin off of the classic Waldorf salad. Ingredients you need are: 1 can of albacore tuna, 1 chopped Fuji apple, 1 stalk of celery, 1 tablespoon of mayo and a splash of lemon juice. Simply mix together and place on a bed of greens and enjoy!
